Fudgy Game Day Football Brownies

  • Author: Rhea
  • Total Time: 1 hour 20 minutes
  • Yield: 16 servings 1x

Description

A dense, fudgy brownie recipe designed for self-care, featuring a simple one-bowl method and decorative white chocolate laces for a meditative baking experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz (340g) semi-sweet dark chocolate chips
  • ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter
  • 1 ½ cups (300g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ⅔ cup (85g) all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup (85g) white chocolate chips
  • 12 tbsp heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan and line with parchment paper if desired.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine dark chocolate chips and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until mostly melted. Stir until smooth.
  3. Whisk granulated sugar into the warm chocolate mixture. Add eggs one at a time, whisking vigorously after each until the mixture is shiny and thick. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the batter and gently fold in with a spatula until no white streaks remain. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out with moist crumbs clinging to it.
  6. Allow brownies to cool completely in the pan (about 1 hour).
  7. Melt white chocolate chips with heavy cream in 15-second bursts, stirring until smooth.
  8. Snip the corner of a small ziplock bag and pipe random squiggles (laces) over the cooled brownies. Let set for 10 minutes before cutting into 16 squares.

Notes

Do not overbake; brownies continue to cook in the pan after removal. For gluten-free option, swap all-purpose flour for a 1:1 gluten-free baking flour blend. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. Use a sharp knife wiped with a warm damp cloth for clean cuts.
